About

Made by a storyteller, not a productivity company.

Pro Writer OS is created by Billy Cook, a television drama story producer with hundreds of hours developing high-end TV drama and 40 hours of prime-time production credits on acclaimed, award-winning shows.

A London-born bookworm, Billy turned his passion into a profession: growing ideas into standout stories. He has developed international hit series, and helped new and experienced writers finish novel drafts, adapt novels for the screen, secure script commissions and get feature films produced.

His work spans original and adapted material, across every genre and many mixes in between. In development, he has taken multiple projects from inception to optioned and commissioned series. His production credits include BBC One’s international sensation POLDARK, Sir Christopher Hampton’s THE SINGAPORE GRIP for ITV, and the reinvention of SILENT WITNESS as a serial thriller for its silver anniversary on BBC One.

In recent years he has taught at the UK’s National Film and Television School, mentored on Channel 4’s Screenwriting Course, sat on the panel for BAFTA Rocliffe’s New Writing Programme, served on the jury for Goldsmiths’ Script Writing MA, and tutored writing at London’s City Lit.

As a writer, gamer and RPG developer, Billy is obsessed with stories, and with helping passionate writers make every one of their own a masterpiece, in the medium that suits it best.
